This policy explains how Frederick Amar, mortgage broker, collects, uses and protects the personal information you share through this website.

Person in charge of protecting your information

Frederick Amar is responsible for protecting the personal information collected through this site. For any question or request about your information, write to him at frederick.amar@ratehub.ca.

Information collected

When you use the contact form, we collect the information you choose to provide: your name, email address, phone number (optional), city or region, type of file, timeline and message. When you call or email Frederick directly, he receives the information you share in that exchange.

This site does not use advertising cookies. If audience measurement tools were ever added, you would be asked to accept or refuse them first.

Why it is used

Your information is used to answer your request, to follow up on your mortgage project if you ask Frederick to, and to meet his professional and legal obligations. It is never sold and is never added to marketing lists.

Who has access

Only Frederick and, when needed, the member of his team who supports your file can access your information. Requests sent through the form are received in Frederick's mailbox, hosted by Google, whose servers may be located outside Quebec. The website is hosted, and form messages are delivered, by service providers that must keep your information confidential. Some of these providers may store information outside Quebec, including in the United States.

If you decide to go ahead with a mortgage application, the information needed for your file is collected separately, with your consent. It is then entered in the client management system of Ratehub, which Frederick works with and which is headquartered in Ontario, and is shared only with the lenders and other parties involved in your financing. It may therefore be stored outside Quebec.

Retention and security

Your information is kept only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, then destroyed or anonymized. Reasonable security measures protect it against loss and unauthorized access.

Your rights

You may ask to access or correct your personal information, or withdraw your consent, by writing to Frederick at frederick.amar@ratehub.ca. You may also file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.

This policy may be updated. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
